Hey Mate! I have a couple of questions!

    1) Can you use manual focus while filming?

    2) Does the TZ80 have 1080p @ 60fps?
    – If not, does the Panasonic Lumix ZS60 have 1080p @ 60fps?

    Thanks for your help!

Hey bud, great review, however if your’re going to selfie-shoot your vids, look into the lens – don’t watch yourself on the the screen.

What a great video ! ( I think it’s your lovely personality , really comes across 🙂 I just got a Tz80 yesterday ! There’s not one bad thing I can say about Lumix Cameras . I gave my son my last two old ones as I upgrade and they are both going strong. Thanks for this tutorial as I had NO idea what 4K was. Doh. LOL 🙂

  7. Selim Afifi on September 25, 2018 at 12:55 am

Thank you for your lovely review, while I was looking at different cameras I came across the Panasonic digital camera Lumix TZ85 optical 30 times white DMC-TZ85-W, can you please tell me if there are any differences, if its at least newer or not, as I literally cannot find a single thing online. thank you in advance.

Can it seriously only take 4k picture with burst and so on? Can’t I only like take 1 single picture? I just want 1 simple 4K picture. Not 30 or 60 to choose from after pressing the button. I don’t want any record thingy at all! Any tips? 🙂

  9. Steve Ferneyhough on September 25, 2018 at 1:01 am

Looks good quality-love the 4K photo mode 🙂

  10. Andrew Booth on September 25, 2018 at 1:02 am

Hi, Once you have taken a 4k photo with the burst mode is it possible to save all the pictures or do you have to save just one

  12. Louisa Livingstone on September 25, 2018 at 1:04 am

Have you tried the TZ100 and did you notice a big difference in picture quality? It’s got a better 1" sensor and otherwise almost the same

  13. dj.boutz on September 25, 2018 at 1:07 am

what kind of tripod is this?

  14. Rossti on September 25, 2018 at 1:10 am

Hey Dave, awesome video! I was wondering what camera you filmed this film on? (Not the LUMIX TZ80)

  15. Shannlovesmusic on September 25, 2018 at 1:11 am

Hi great video, I am thinking about buying this camera since my last one was a lumix dmc tz40 and I loved the video quality of that. My question is does it make a sound/noise when you zoom in or out. Thanks

  16. Tungsten Kid on September 25, 2018 at 1:16 am

I recently bought a TZ80 for £330 and am completely out of my depth trying to understand how to make it go, because there are a zillion options and it’s very fiddly for a casual photographer like me. I just accidentally corrupted my mem card by pressing the wrong button or something (sniffle)

  17. Mr Banslide on September 25, 2018 at 1:17 am

    is it wide angle

  18. Cardtricks 450 on September 25, 2018 at 1:18 am

It’s Lumix!!!!!! Lol, not Lumex. ‘Lou-mics’

  19. noelia silva on September 25, 2018 at 1:22 am

I bought the Lumix TZ80 camera around October 2017 prior to going on our overseas holiday. After struggling with the minefield of technicalities and varying advice, I just drew up a list of basic criteria that I wanted in a compact camera, and set off to a local camera shop. After buying the camera (actually bought two; one for the wife) I saw a number of YouTube posts highly recommending the camera that I had bought. Great; I thought. The videos that I have taken have been less than satisfactory. In fact quite inferior to my Nokia Lumia 1020 mobile phone. Obviously the mobile phone doesn’t have many of the features of the camera, but in many cases the results are better. The main disappointing aspect about the Lumix TZ80 is when attempting to pan either a moving object or just the surrounding scenery, there are two noticeable issues. One is a very ‘jerky’ and ‘un-smoothe’ movement in recording and playback. I guess I could be blamed, but it doesn’t happen with my mobile phone. The other (probably related) issue is slowness of focus as you move the camera (even quite slowly) from one object to the other. Distinct blurring occurs every timeAny suggestions before I throw them both away?

how does it compare against the lumix TZ90/TZ70 or the lumix LX 10?
i wanna start vlogging and im looking for a good camera with stabilisation, 4K and a flip up screen.

  26. HCarota on September 25, 2018 at 1:32 am

    not a sharp photo… not even 1

  27. kkgen on September 25, 2018 at 1:37 am

A quick question. Before you take a picture (holding a click button) there are green guides….do you know how to keep those green guide to stay longer. It seems like they only show up for a second. I can’t get used to it. I had cannon before and I would like those green lines to stay until clicking the picture.

I hope it’s making sense about green guide lines. Thanks.
