Ha ha. The bags I am using now are made in Vietnam! You could probably order some thru Ali Baba. But if you have been working well with your bags why not use what works for you. Maybe you only need dry bags for camera, laptop, and maybe hard drive. I have Trangia alcohol stove, folding wood stove that I can use as Trangia stove holder. I also have small foldable stove with hose to fit either propane or butane bottles. It can set on the ground or up on table. I bought a cheap pan set on Amazon for $21.00 2 pots with small lids for tops or cup. Also folding cup. Also small light frying pan. My chain lube looks just like yours! Same brand maybe! Well must test and see if I am carrying too much and test tent for leaks. It is Chinese made but has good reputation. Also small ground cloth. Just have more than I need I think! Have to eliminate some things. Good luck when you leave Thailand. Be sure to drink some good beer and tell us which one you like best! Eat some good food too!

Wow, I can’t believe the bar-end shifter broke. Guess five years of constant use wears stuff down 🙂

THAT was The BEST, In Depth, and Fast Forward Bike PACKING Video I’ve Ever Seen 👍❤👍

  17. Sathish Kumar S on July 28, 2018 at 10:14 am

Loved it sister. I have recently cycled 2200 km from Chennai to Delhi in India. Next I wanna attempt Chennai, India to Western Europe. I have started researching for this trip and saving money for the same. Your videos are continuously inspiring. Thank you for sharing these information. Stay blessed.

  18. Elizabeth Wilson on July 28, 2018 at 10:15 am

Jin can you tell me how many inches wide from seam to seam your Ortlieb back rack pack is? I am getting ready to order one and want the size you have as it’s not too wide but looks just right to go above back panniers. Thank you!

  19. 1MadassGrom on July 28, 2018 at 10:17 am

That is amazing how you put all that on your bike! Six years on a bicycle around the world, eventually some things people think you don’t need may come in handy or a life saver. Great Video Jin 😀

  20. Al Ray Lazado on July 28, 2018 at 10:17 am

Lots of love from the Philippines, take care!

  21. James Andrews on July 28, 2018 at 10:19 am

Also didn’t you mount a bike lock that stays on the frame permanently? Since it was mounted on the frame it was not kept in one of your panniers so was not shown on this videos. I like your yellow gloves. Cheap but effective!

  23. Carl Blaskowitz on July 28, 2018 at 10:21 am

She is packing for a 15 year expedition to Mars. Well done with your kit, one thing, get the Samsung galaxy tab pro-s or microsoft surface pro and ditch that heavy-as-a-gold-bar gaming laptop. Also, where is your tube of spicy red pepper paste?

  24. freewheelindave on July 28, 2018 at 10:21 am

Wonderful Video and courageous cycling through so many countries. Thank you for sharing your experience. Ortlieb make a wonderful pannier and the go pro chest mount is, you are right the best for stability. Thanks

  25. James Hart on July 28, 2018 at 10:21 am

That is quite the set up you have. The longest bike ride I have ever completed was the week long bike ride across Iowa called RAGBRAI and I pulled a trailer. Mostly because I ride a two wheel recumbent. Have you ever thought about using a small trailer like the B.O.B.? At least to carry your camping gear? Also I hope you wear a helmet. Stay safe and keep on peddling.

  26. Than Htoo on July 28, 2018 at 10:22 am

    You are very strong

  27. Bob Gamble on July 28, 2018 at 10:22 am

You are the definition of resourceful. I was just trying to figure out how to carry my camera gear safely:). I’m sure there’s a way after watching this video. Are you still touring the world, and have you come to the US?

  28. Bike Vids on July 28, 2018 at 10:23 am

    way too much crap.

  29. Brian Tyhy on July 28, 2018 at 10:23 am

I admire you and watch your videos all the time but I think you carry too too much stuff. But what do I know you are the brave one, whom has traveled for six years by herself through Africa. My dream is to cycle through Africa.
    Travel safe.

  30. Boy Mario on July 28, 2018 at 10:25 am

6 years cycling alone from country to another.. i can’t imagine how you go through its. You’re so brave.. Stay safe & good lucks on what ever you do…

An awesome and a bit funny ‘gear/what’s in my bags review’! quite a lot of stuff to climb with up mountains but it worked for you. You’re a bit of a ‘pack rat’ holding onto things many would normally throw away (or mail home!) but as I said, it worked for you! Great Video! and great ride. Congrats! … a printer?? lol!

I enjoyed watching your video. I am planning my first bicycle tour on my new Yuba Sweet Curry eBike. I cannot pedal much anymore because I have bad knees and feet. But I can still travel long distance on a bicycle (I can still pedal my eBike, but not too much). Happy Trails …..

  46. Decent Diversions on July 28, 2018 at 10:46 am

GREAT VIDEO! I love your star trails photos and it’s so nice that you want to share photos with your hosts

I love your little collections (sim cards, coins, stamps tickets, notepads, newspaper article, etc…)

Six items I think you can give away or replace:
Gopro head mount (Chest mount is best)
Tent (there are lighter options that work in winter)
Sleeping bag (if you have slept in it for 600+ nights, you may need to replace it)
Sleeping pads (They’re both old & broken. You deserve something that isn’t broken!)
Pots (You can find a smaller lighter pot and get a plastic cup)
    Cutting board

You’re really inspiring, Jin! Keep cycling. Cheers from Ottawa, Canada!
