Never thought about doing that with a water backpack yet. Resisted getting one due to the wash up each time but your solution makes sense.

How big is fuel tank an how many miles can you go on a full tank?
Adventures in Real Lifeon June 26, 2018 at 3:34 am
Lol! It doesn’t look like much. A month’s supply of stuff feels like a lot on my KLX….
Had the same experience with my tank bag/cameras.
You’re a hell of a lot more organized than I am. I use sterno cans, sometimes I feel like a hillbilly.
I really need to figure out my distance packing again. But I don’t know when I’ll do another long trip with just the bike. It’s so comfortable with the SUV to sleep in and the rail. Then you can just go play all day around camp and move for the next day. Then take everything you like. Ugh….

Hey Nerb1, I am worried I am too short to ride that bike, how tall are you?
Black Hawkon June 26, 2018 at 3:44 am
Hi Nerb1
just a quick question, I bought the 360 stove and it didn’t have the attachment you screwed on the base to attach the slim gas bottle to, was this an extra you bought or have I bought the wrong model? it looks identical to yours except that the connection is at the bottom meaning I have to buy a larger more traditional type bottle to attach to the unit.
Great vid and BTW when’s the next instalment of your Cape York trip coming up?, I’m keen to see what happened to Tom”s KTM
cheers

qinao coexiston June 26, 2018 at 4:15 am
I agree with you assessment of the Mootz tires. Currently have about 4000 miles on the rear and will likely go another 1000miles. The Front when I first got is scared me at 110 mph gets a bit of a wobble and it now has sone serious cupping on it. If I was rich and could buy tires all the time I would just run through TKC80’s every 2000miles but they cost money and time to install. The other issue is finding a 18 inch rear tire on a trip can be difficult.
Nice review.

Hi Neeb, your bike has the tubeless spoked wheels yes ? .., so no troubles I gather by installing a tube, and no issues from the tire pressure sensor ?
.., and does the sensor work anymore once a tube is installed as opposed to no tube ?
James Lodderon June 26, 2018 at 4:26 am

Great setup! Do you have a dual action tyre pump and first aid kit? We use the same mini stove and it works amazing! Water bladder in the freezer is the only way to store them, will last for years with no germs! I paused the video when I saw your front fender and was going to recommend the high fender conversion and then saw the end after lol. http://slavensracing.com/shop/high-mount-front-fender-kit-for-ktm-1190/ seems highly recommended by the ADV forums. Can’t wait to see your tent review and the Cape series.
