I made a watercolor sketchbook with watercolor sheets, then I use an altoid container with dentine ice gum trays taped down that I fill with liquid watercolor- and then I use a water brush and I have a portable watercolor sketchbook wherever I go:)

    Why not a glue stick?

  3. LifeTheUniverseandEverything on July 14, 2018 at 8:23 am

Muji does a great littler glue tape dispenser, very small and its good stuff too 🙂

Look up prima planner glue pen. I love them!

I wish I could use it but my handwriting is the worst.

When I travel with my TN (Salty Katie I’m Your Huckleberry in B6 size) It has its own pouch from SewSoSweet Stuff on Etsy and if it’s TN related and it doesn’t fit in there, it doesn’t come! I try to similarly limit the art supplies by choosing a pouch before the trip (I don’t have a set one here, size depends on trip) and again, if it doesn’t fit, it doesn’t come!

I love that little photo printer, I’ve been on the market for one of those, but unsure of which one to get. That one looks like better quality than the ones I’ve seen.

    LOVED this! great TN setup.

  8. darkisis19 on July 14, 2018 at 8:38 am

I take a Personal size TN, with 4 inserts and a plastic case just like yours, with me wherever I go and a small pencil case. The TN has only one secretarial pocket on the front and a pen loop on the back. I usually do most of my journaling at home, where I have all of my supplies because I haven’t gone to any trip that leaves me time to write on it while I’m there, because it’s usually to events that have me dead tired at the end of the day. So I just collect everything I want and put them in my journal once I’m back home.

Thanks Lauren for sharing your set-up for traveling kinda’ light! I’ve been journaling for 25 years so I know how beneficial it is to do, and what fin it can be to read back a couple of years later – so keep at it!

Do you take your TN with you on the go on the daily?

  11. Kristan Makl on July 14, 2018 at 8:40 am

It isn’t any smaller but I find the Tombow glue dot dispenser to be way easier to use and better adhesive. It’s looks basically the same as the one you have, but pink. You do such a good job of keeping everything minimal. I bring way too many pens with me. I gotta have all my colors.

Such a lovely Webster Traveler’s Notebook setup! Beautiful color selection as well! I like to carry loose stickers in my zipper pouch as well! And thank you for sharing snippets from your travels!! It’s always nice seeing how others set-up their journals/TN! 😍💕

If you want a smaller adhesive roller you should try Muji’s Glue Tape. Super little, refills are pretty easy to find, and more convenient for travel. I keep one in my pencil case for bullet journaling and love having it around!

  16. LexiPennylane11 on July 14, 2018 at 8:59 am

I got a really nice traveler’s notebook from work, and a huge pencil case it actually fits into perfectly. I keep a few minimal writing supplies, as well as the two rolls of washi tape I use throughout my notebook (one plain, one patterned) all in there with the notebook so it’s all in one place and super easy to work with!

I really want to get into journaling but I’m always on the road! This helps so much with that issue, thank you! 🙂

If you have a Muji near you they make a nice small tape runner that I use when I travel. Or I just use a Zig 2 way glue glue pen or failing that buy a glue stick at my destination or failing that glue things in when I get home.

  19. ashgo86 on July 14, 2018 at 9:05 am

I feel like there are smaller tombo tape dispenser thingies…I’d keep an eye out or look on Amazon. I have a Polaroid printer that’s blutooth but it works the same way with the zInk paper with a sticky back!

    Great tips! 🙂 Subscribed!

  21. Gaynor Andrews on July 14, 2018 at 9:05 am

Thanks for showing us that mini printer. Wow. I’ve just checked the uk prices. Argos have a variety from under £100 to £160+. The more expensive are always going to be for Apple. You could do a short demo on how to use. It looks fab. Will go on my Xmas list 😉

I really enjoyed this video and your travel journal seems really cute! ♥

I’m starting to get back into traveler’s notebooks again. I bought a whole thing of them a few months ago, but didn’t use them. But now instead of trying to plan with them, which doesn’t work for me, I want to try actual journaling. So that’s what I’m using the ones I bought for. And I just bought a set of regular brown ones so I can make a memory book for my boyfriend for either his birthday or Christmas (probably Christmas since we’re long distance with him in Jersey and me in NC). I just got the HP Sprocket and I’m obsessed with it, omg.

Your hand writing is beautiful. Re pen loops, adhesive pen loops are available to stick to notebooks. There are also clip on options. And you can make a pen holder using a binder clip.

  25. Artsygirl555 on July 14, 2018 at 9:11 am

At dollar tree there are mini adhesive tapes!

  26. Dina on July 14, 2018 at 9:11 am

I’ve just discovered your channel and I think you’re amazing!! 😱 idk but your face makes me just so happy…you have those beautiful "smiling" eyes!! 😊💕 …i hope you have an awesome day 🌞

Hi Lauren, I literally have my first TN as of yesterday. It’s a Recollections TN from Michaels. I thinks it’s beautiful and has nice items included for a newbie. Thanks for sharing your TN ideas and the supplies you use. Great video!

  28. art crone on July 14, 2018 at 9:14 am

There’s a tombow permanent adhesive (sky blue colour) 3/ pkg. 3"long × 1"wide. Would have included a pic if I could have, but it’s about 1/2 the size of regular tape runner. Bought at Michael’s in Canada.
