Never thought about doing that with a water backpack yet. Resisted getting one due to the wash up each time but your solution makes sense.

  2. maxim0200 on June 26, 2018 at 3:31 am

bloody brilliant idea for the water bladder. thanks mate, also watching the Cape vids

  3. em Burgess on June 26, 2018 at 3:32 am

How big is fuel tank an how many miles can you go on a full tank?

  4. Adventures in Real Life on June 26, 2018 at 3:34 am

Lol! It doesn’t look like much. A month’s supply of stuff feels like a lot on my KLX….

Had the same experience with my tank bag/cameras.

You’re a hell of a lot more organized than I am. I use sterno cans, sometimes I feel like a hillbilly.

I really need to figure out my distance packing again. But I don’t know when I’ll do another long trip with just the bike. It’s so comfortable with the SUV to sleep in and the rail. Then you can just go play all day around camp and move for the next day. Then take everything you like. Ugh….

  5. Botany Bay Bottling Co. on June 26, 2018 at 3:34 am

Exactly the video I was looking for. Thanks mate.

Ok. Sweetman votes that you’ve done enough ‘catching up work’ now. Where’s the footage from this manic trip we went on?

  11. MrDuhfactor on June 26, 2018 at 3:43 am

I love how you’ve really used your bike buddy…… Long trips, loaded up, well done!! I’m no expert, but I think you’ve packed well!!

  12. AdventureEthos on June 26, 2018 at 3:44 am

Hey Nerb1, I am worried I am too short to ride that bike, how tall are you?

  13. Black Hawk on June 26, 2018 at 3:44 am

    Hi Nerb1
just a quick question, I bought the 360 stove and it didn’t have the attachment you screwed on the base to attach the slim gas bottle to, was this an extra you bought or have I bought the wrong model? it looks identical to yours except that the connection is at the bottom meaning I have to buy a larger more traditional type bottle to attach to the unit.
Great vid and BTW when’s the next instalment of your Cape York trip coming up?, I’m keen to see what happened to Tom”s KTM
    cheers

snazzy bloody trick with the water bladder 🙂 Do you normally ride with a 1st aid kit of some sort?? I think when I went across the country and back I swear I had about 3 times what you took…….. wish this came out before I went ahahahahah 😉

  22. Marni Holbrook on June 26, 2018 at 3:53 am

Great video. Can you tell what brand the fuel and water bladders are. I’ve never seen them here in NZ and they look a hell of a lot better than the old red fuel container

  23. JoeJoe Moto on June 26, 2018 at 3:53 am

Good one mate. Great to see other peoples setup. Yep, I am water bladder in the freezer guy too. Lasts for years that way. 70/70 tyre….. LOL

  24. Sid Shelton on June 26, 2018 at 3:54 am

  25. Chappy's Ktichen on June 26, 2018 at 3:55 am

  35. Ozzi Supercub on June 26, 2018 at 4:13 am

Paper maps are the best. I hate using my phone to navigate.

  36. qinao coexist on June 26, 2018 at 4:15 am

I agree with you assessment of the Mootz tires. Currently have about 4000 miles on the rear and will likely go another 1000miles. The Front when I first got is scared me at 110 mph gets a bit of a wobble and it now has sone serious cupping on it. If I was rich and could buy tires all the time I would just run through TKC80’s every 2000miles but they cost money and time to install. The other issue is finding a 18 inch rear tire on a trip can be difficult.
    Nice review.

  37. Wayne Jenkins on June 26, 2018 at 4:15 am

    Great breakdown nerb!

  38. Vasta Pasta on June 26, 2018 at 4:20 am

Hi Nerb, just asking what brand of rain jacket is that? Looks pretty compact how well does it work thanks.

  39. sebastiaan reiners on June 26, 2018 at 4:21 am

  40. andrewford80 on June 26, 2018 at 4:22 am

I like your vids way better than Tom’s, mate. Really interesting.

Would be cool to see what’s in that fabulous looking toolkit in a bit more detail tho 😉

  41. balsara 675 on June 26, 2018 at 4:22 am

    ok

  42. craig g on June 26, 2018 at 4:23 am

Great video, what made you choose a ktm over other bikes?

  43. Island Dreaming on June 26, 2018 at 4:24 am

Hi Neeb, your bike has the tubeless spoked wheels yes ? .., so no troubles I gather by installing a tube, and no issues from the tire pressure sensor ?
.., and does the sensor work anymore once a tube is installed as opposed to no tube ?

  44. James Lodder on June 26, 2018 at 4:26 am

Hey Nerb, where did you got that butane setup for the 360 degree burner? i can only find the ones that sit directly on top of the larger gas bottles.

  45. payam fz on June 26, 2018 at 4:26 am

What phone mount do you use mate ?

  46. Petre Rodan on June 26, 2018 at 4:26 am

would you mind naming those tires? "this" and "this" does not really help.

  47. Shaun Timberlake on June 26, 2018 at 4:26 am

Possibly the most trashed 1190 getting around……… Good to see it getting some hard use.

  48. Sum4Seb on June 26, 2018 at 4:28 am

Great setup! Do you have a dual action tyre pump and first aid kit? We use the same mini stove and it works amazing! Water bladder in the freezer is the only way to store them, will last for years with no germs! I paused the video when I saw your front fender and was going to recommend the high fender conversion and then saw the end after lol. http://slavensracing.com/shop/high-mount-front-fender-kit-for-ktm-1190/ seems highly recommended by the ADV forums. Can’t wait to see your tent review and the Cape series. Great video as always *T4S*

  49. infiniteandroid on June 26, 2018 at 4:28 am

  50. Diego Fianza on June 26, 2018 at 4:29 am

As a microbiologist, many pathogenic bacteria/their spores can live or do live in extreme temperatures…like freezing temps and some for years.
